Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cakehole: To the hotel
Sam finished sending his text to Cas before attempting to ascertain his location. Without too much trouble he managed to procure himself directions to the hotel he was currently staying in, thanks to the bored cashier at whatever tourist shop he’d wandered into.
It was…
Cas appeared in the hotel room shortly after receiving Sam’s text. After he had left Holmes’ flat. He didn’t want to admit it but Holmes had gotten to him, making him think he was not doing all he could. What was worse was Holmes was not incorrect in his statement. He could be doing more and would.
“Thank you for meeting me here.” Cas spoke up.“Hey Dean.” Sam greeted when his brother arrived. Irrational though it may be, he was secretly relieved to see his brother alive and well. They hadn’t seen each other since before this case started, which wasn’t normal, for them, and he hoped they’d be getting back to business as usual soon enough.
He seated himself in the desk chair and turned to Castiel. “Hey, Cas. So, what’s up?” he asked.
Dean quirked a small smile at the sight of his brother and leaned back against the desk. “C’mon, Cas, there’s a reason why you brought us here. Tell us.” The possibilities are running through his head- someone else is probably dead- and he glances over at Sam.
At least he looks calm.
“I was uncomfortable discussing this infront of others. The symbol at the crime scenes, I’ve seen it before but I don’t know what it is, only that it doesn’t exist on Earth. I believe it to be in a book secured in Heaven. I intend on getting it.” Cas told them straight forward.
Sam nodded. It was good to know that Cas had some sort of lead to follow. “Okay. Do you have any idea how long it will take you? And what can Dean and I do in the meantime?”
“I don’t know how long it will take. Getting the book…it’s complicated.” Cas told them. It would be best not to reveal all the details of what he would have to do to get the book, he wasn’t even completely sure himself or if he would survive it. “As for what you should do, continue the investigation. Work with Holmes to find out who is behind this.” Cas said. He looked over at Dean and saw his expression and knew he didn’t believe that was the only reason they were there.
“But I didn’t call you here to tell you that though. I do need your help. The book is kept in one of the highest levels of Heaven, I must go in my true form and leave my vessel behind until I return.”
